Breathing correctly when exercising is vital and, not surprisingly, equally important during child birth.
To breathe efficiently it is best to inhale through the nose and breathe out through the mouth.
When exercising, try to breathe out on the effort of movement and breathe in as you relax or when preparing for the next movement. This avoids tension and allows complete concentration for each exercise movement.
Breathing correctly during exercise encourages the pelvic floor, abdominals and back muscles to connect fully, and will also help during child birth.
